“Science of Light” will introduce children to the puzzling and intertwined world of light, vision and perception. We will talk whether seeing is believing, or does it work backwards; experiment with shadows and mirrors; learn how light can help in space travel; make rainbows and discuss the vision of mantis shrimp. We will follow Isaac Newton and his fascination with optics, make prisms out of jello, learn about the dangers of lasers, and figure out how long does it take to send a signal to Mars and back.
